She's 1 year and 1 month.
She's totally a toddler. WHERE DID MY BABY GO??????
She's learned to do nose-kisses (eskimo kisses?).
She kisses me and says, "mamamamam, Mu-wah!"
She pulled up her shirt last night and said, "Belly."
I just love it when they start talking.
I am starting to think that when they hit 28 months it gets really really hard. More on that soon.

Hongi, pressing noses, is part of Maori culture. Symbolically it is a sharing of breath/spirit (same word (which I believe is also true in Greek)) with another person. It is normal, but not compulsary, to say 'mmm' softly while you hongi, I think this is so both people are breathing out and therefore not overcome by stinky breath. It also is a friendly, comforting, happy noise and my stinky breath theory may be entirely unfair.
