I promised more updates, while on vacation, but so far, I haven't had time. First, we saw MWH's family. Now, we're here in paradise and I've been trying to finish a novel, the last in a wonderful series--but damn, a LONG series. Here's a link to the first book at Amazon. I found the first book AMAZING, the second and third one pretty good, the fourth one painful, the fifth one good, the sixth one good and the seventh one kind of mixed... (It's gotten REALLY good at the end... The last couple hundred pages have been very riveting! I'm 50 pages away from the end. Oh, how will it end????!)

Each book is 700-1000 pages long. If you like to really get to know the characters of a book and follow their lives, I highly recommend the series.

Okay, more tomorrow, hopefully, but I'm awfully busy with the pool, the beach, and relaxing!

It's official...

I suck at blogging on this blog. :-)

First step, admit you have a problem. Second step, go on vacation and promise to blog a lot. We're headed to tropical climates. Watch the house, won't you? I'm going to try and post more from vacation because, theoretically, I will have at least an hour or two of downtime each night. MWH and I will hang, but I know he likes to play on the web, too so it will be okay.

I think I actually did well over here though, this week, as I 1) was trying to finish up a lot of work before I left and 2) I had to pack for 4. See you soon!

Wagon

I fell off the wagon one night after vowing to post every night, but look, flowers! MWH is wonderful. The funny story is that MWH and Three-a went to the store on Sunday while twoK, oNe, oNe's cat and twoK's cat went to the vet. Three-a INSISTED that MWH buy me flowers. Love that girl. MWH and I don't tend to celebrate holidays with gifts, though now he's given me a gift for Christmas and Valentine's. I guess I am officially spoiled. Thank you, MWH.

Good news! B-cat (oNe's cat) is feeling better. He's not all the way better, but he's feeling quite a bit better. He was NOT feeling well on Sunday and it was sad. I'm so glad he's back to howling in the morning because he's hungry.

Someday, I have to tell you about the new workout I'm doing, but for now I'll just leave you with the news that the entire lower half of my body is VERY sore. Woo! Love it. I also learned that if you DIG your heels into the floor while you are doing ab work, you engage your abs a lot more. You're welcome. You will feel it if you DIG your heels in. Not just push a little, REALLY dig them in.

It's been five minutes; I should go. Hopefully more posting tonight. I'm actually in a meeting at work, can't you tell?

Every night

Every night, I say I'm going to blog, but I just can't seem to get into it. I've been feeling this way for so long now, and I know a lot of it is how busy I am with work. I don't want to just write about work, but that's what flies out of my fingers when I sit down here. I put all the fun stuff the girls are doing up on "the other blog" as I use pictures and go with the picture=1000 words for those posts. I don't have to write much that way.

Let's see, a quick report... We're working on the Science Fair. We made quite a bit of progress this weekend, and if this weekend were last weekend, we'd be in great shape, but alas, we needed to be further along. At least, we all know what we're doing with the project and we'll just have to get twoK and oNe to do a page each night.

oNe hates to work on the Science Fair during the school week because she has SO MUCH other homework. I don't blame her--she does have a ton. We'll see how twoK does this week. Some times, twoK is really fast and motivated and at other times she is IMPOSSIBLE. The good news with twoK is that I think she truly understands how we're organizing the project and what the Science Fair Presentation will look like. I'm not sure oNe has the "big picture" of what she's doing with her presentation. She understands each step she's doing and what it tells her, but I don't think she yet sees how it all fits together to make the report. That's okay, oNe will get it soon.

Kitty report... the new kitty and B-cat (oNe's cat) are getting along better. Unfortunately, B-cat got sick. He has a chronic upper respiratory infection that seems to have flared up. I was a little worried he'd get stressed out by the new kitty and get sick. Yup. Poor guy. We went to the vet today. B-cat isn't feeling well at all, tonight. He even turned down yogurt and barely ate salmon. I'll worry if he doesn't eat better tomorrow. He just started his antibiotics.

Okay... enough for now. I'm going to try to make myself blog every night for just 5 minutes to see if I can get back in the habit... We'll see.
