As we got on the second plane for this vacation, the man who took our tickets handed the ticket stubs back to T (2.9) and said, "You're in charge. Can you handle these?" She accepted them and said, "Yes!" (I'm kind of surprised she didn't say Yes Sir! but I don't think she knows that protocol.)
MWH and I were talking and laughing about T being in charge, but she took her responsibility very seriously. She started walking, with an air of supreme authority, to the plane saying, "I'm in charge... hrmph. I'm in charge." Heh. (MWH and I were rolling with laughter as we walked down the jetway.)
